The Picker is the next step in the milling process.

Once your fiber is dry it is run through the picking machine. The purpose of the picking machine is to seperate each fiber. It is fed through the machine by a belt into the licker in which has small metal teeth, and on to the picker drum. The picker drum has much larger teeth that look like nails, which shoots the fiber into a collection room. When all the fiber is through the machine it is then turned off and your fiber is conditioned.

Proper conditioning is essential in the health of your fiber for the rest of the process. When your fiber is properly conditioned it is then ready for the next step in America's Natural Fiberworks process.
